2nd year Graduate
Development Programme
The way the company is run, as a not-for-profit organisation, is important for me. I want to work in a company that cares about the environment it operates in. Welsh Water also offers support in the development of its employees.
I am currently working with the capital delivery team on the implementation of a £70 million project to generate renewable energy from two of our waste water treatment plants. My role is working with the process engineers to ensure that the sludge from the plants is correct for conversion to energy.
My goal is to become a project leader for the development of renewable energy technologies. This helps the company protect the environment it operates in, while still being able to deliver a quality product to customers.
The opportunity to work with people from varying backgrounds and experience, who share a common passion for what they do. In addition, the projects I have completed on the scheme contribute to the performance of the company, so my work gives me a real sense of purpose.
